Note
If you should close your web browser or log out during this procedure, all information provided is saved and you can return to the procedure from your To Do list.
Go to the Dashboard. Your Dashboard To Do list identifies any order that is required to be configured.
-
From the To Do list, select the order to be configured.
-
From the Begin Device Preconfiguration page, you can either select to complete the device preconfiguration on your own or have a Primex Project Manager contact you to assist you.
-
If you selected have a Primex Project Manager contact me
Provide the information to schedule a Preconfiguration Consult and select Submit.
-
If you selected I'll try it on my own
You are guided through the configuration process for each device.
-
-
From the Existing Networks, review the networks listed.
-
If the devices can be assigned to a network listed
Select I'll use one of these.
-
If a network will not be assigned to devices (facility network not available)
Select I'll use one of these and when assigning a network to each device select No Network.
-
If there are no networks listed or if the devices cannot use a network listed
Select I want to create a new network. Enter the network settings from the Create A New Network screen. Select Show Advanced Options to view all options and settings.
-
-
From the Configuring Devices screen, assign a network and enter the settings for each device.
Each setting is optional and can be skipped if you are not ready to assign a network or provide the settings.
If any settings are skipped and Confirm Shipment is selected the device(s) are shipped from Primex. Failure to assign a network profile will require the network to be assigned onsite using the OWDC app.
From the left section, the current device configuring is highlighted.
The settings for each device include:
-
Network
Assigning a network allows the device to connect to your network as soon as power is applied to the device at your facility.
You can either select an existing Network Profile, create a new Network Profile, or select No Network if a network cannot be assigned or created at this time. If you are creating a new network, select Show Advanced Options to view all of the network profile settings.
If a network is not assigned, the device is required to be configured onsite with the OWDC app.

What will this Monitor? (Monitored Asset)
The Monitored Asset is what the sensor device is monitoring and the readings logged by the sensor are linked to the Monitored Asset. The sensor is assigned to the Monitored Asset and its readings and operating conditions are linked to the Monitored Asset.
You can create a new Monitored Asset or select an existing Monitored Asset. To create a new asset, start typing into the field.
-
Label
Information printed on the label affixed to the sensor device by Primex. By default, set to the first 20 characters of the Monitored Asset name. Allows up to a maximum of 20 characters. If an existing Monitored Asset (What Will This Monitor) is selected, the label value cannot be changed.
-
Normal Condition
The Normal Condition is the expected, operating range or condition of the Monitored Asset assigned to the sensor. The settings vary based on the type of sensor and the condition being monitored.
-
-
Advanced device settings (optional)
You may choose to provide the advanced device settings. To view the advanced settings, from the top section select Show Advanced Options.
-
Alarm Delay
Alarm Delay sets the amount of time OneVue delays setting the sensor and its assigned Monitored Asset to an Alarm state. When a sensor reading is not within its Normal Condition (an Out of Range status) and it remains Out of Range for the time period set in its Alarm Delay setting, the sensor and Monitored Asset are then set to an Alarm state with a status of Out of Range, Past Alarm Delay.
-
Door Delay (Differential Pressure Sensor door monitoring)
Period of time a door switch is allowed to be in an Open status before the sensor and Monitored Asset is set to the Alarms Disabled state with the status of Past Door Delay.
-
Network IPv4 address (Non-DCHP network)
The primary network IPv4 address assigned to the sensor to allow its connection to your facility’s network. The network assigned is required to be a non-DHCP network.
-
Alternate network
Serves as a backup network if the connection to the primary network is not available.
-
Alternate IPv4 address (Non-DHCP Network)
Serves as a backup IP address if the connection to the primary IP address is not available.
-
Location
By default, a device is not assigned to a location. If your account structure uses locations to control user access, assign a device to a location to ensure users have access to the devices they are responsible for.

Once you have completed (or optionally skipped) the steps for all devices, a summary page is displayed. From the list, you can also change a setting by selecting Change.
Once you are ready to process the order with the preconfiguration settings provided, select Confirm Shipment.
The devices are preconfigured by Primex.
Your OneVue account ID and the provided settings are configured into each device.
All of the order's devices are added to your OneVue account. The devices are only listed in your account and are not active. A device does not become active until it establishes a connection to your network and connects to your OneVue account.
Devices and their packaging are labeled with the settings provided during preconfiguration.
If a device was assigned to a new Monitored Asset, the Monitored Asset is assigned to the account Business Unit.
If a network profile was assigned to a device, once power is applied it attempts to connect to its assigned network.
If a network profile was not assigned to a device or if the network settings were entered incorrectly, the device is required to be assigned to a network while onsite using the OWDC app.
