The state of a Monitored Asset is determined by the last transmitted reading and operating condition of its assigned sensor(s). Its status identifies the condition that resulted in the asset either entering a Warning or Alarm state.
You can view the state of a Monitored Asset from your Dashboard or from the profile of the Monitored Asset. The Dashboard displays a summary of the state of all Monitored Assets in both a circle and list view.
Go to Monitoring > Monitored Assets.
-
Locate the Monitored Asset. The state and status column is displayed.
To view its state history, from the list select the Name link of the Monitored Asset > its profile is displayed > select State History.
A Monitored Asset may be in a Normal, Warning, Alarm, Suspended, Decommissioned, or Unmonitored state.
State |
Current Condition |
Status resulting in State |
---|---|---|
Normal |
Last transmitted sensor reading is within its Normal Condition and the sensor device is operating as expected. |
Status is blank during this state. Differential Pressure Door Switch monitoring only: an Open status indicates the Differential Pressure Door Switch is in an Open status. When in an Open status for longer than the time period set in its Door Delay Alarm setting, the Monitored Asset is set to an Alarms Disabled state. |
Warning |
Last transmitted reading is not within its Normal Condition, but the amount of time the reading has been out of range has not exceeded the time period set in the sensor's Alarm Delay setting. When in a Warning state, OneVue:
|
Out of Range The last reading was either below or above its Normal Condition (temperature, temperature and humidity, or differential pressure sensor) or the last reading was not its Normal Condition (water leak and contact closure sensor). |
Alarm |
A condition requires immediate attention. The condition resulting in the Alarm state is indicated by its Status. When in an Alarm state OneVue:
|
Enters an Alarm state due to any of the statuses below: Out of Range, Past Alarm Delay The last reading was either below or above its Normal Condition (temperature, temperature and humidity, or differential pressure sensor) or the last reading was not its Normal Condition (water leak and contact closure sensor).
Unresponsive Indicates the sensor device has not checked-in to OneVue for more than the time period set in the sensor's gateway Unresponsive Timeout setting.
No Probe (applies to Temperature Sensor & Water Leak Sensor) When a Probe has been removed from a Temperature Sensor or a Water Detector is removed from a Water Leak Sensor, a no probe status is automatically sent to OneVue.
Low Battery Indicates the sensor device has reported a low battery level.
|
Suspended |
A OneVue user sets a Monitored Asset to the Suspended state. This state is designed for use during a temporary condition, such as when a Monitored Asset is being repaired or replaced. The Monitored Asset is required to be set to a Normal state by a system user to resume alerting. When set to a Suspended state, OneVue:
|
Displays status changes only - not monitored during this state. NoteStatus changes are for information purposes only and are not monitored while in this state. |
Decommissioned |
A OneVue user sets a Monitored Asset to the Decommissioned state. The Decommissioned state is designed to permanently disable a Monitored Asset from your account, such as when an asset has been taken out of service. When set to Decommissioned state:
|
|
Unmonitored |
A sensor is not assigned to the Monitored Asset. Therefore, no reading or sensor device operating data is associated to the Monitored Asset. This state is set by OneVue and cannot be set by a user. When in an Unmonitored state, OneVue:
|
|
Alarms Disabled - Differential Pressure Monitoring only |
The Alarms Disabled only applies when Door Monitoring is configured at the Differential Pressure sensor device. The Monitored Asset is set to the Alarms Disabled state when the Door Switch has been in an Open status for longer than the time period set within its Door Delay setting. When a Monitored Asset is set to the Alarms Disabled state, OneVue:
|
Past Door Delay |
