Your Dashboard To Do list displays active alerts that have not been acknowledged (responded to). An alert is activated when a Monitored Asset assigned to an alert rule is in an Alarm state.
The To Do list displays the name of the Monitored Asset and the status resulting in the Alarm state. Select the link to view the Monitored Asset profile and acknowledge the alert. Commonly, an alert is acknowledged by someone that is actively taking action to investigate or resolve the alerting condition.
When an alert is activated, you may also receive an alert notification. Alert notifications are sent to you in the method selected in your alert preferences.
When the condition resulting in the Alarm state returns to normal, the alert ends and it's removed from your To Do list.
When an alert is acknowledged by a OneVue user, the alert is removed from your Dashboard To Do list until the alert resumes. Commonly, an alert is acknowledged by someone that is actively taking action to investigate or resolve the alerting condition.
If an alert has been acknowledge, you can view the alert acknowledgement comments entered from the Monitored Asset's state history. Go to Monitoring > Monitored Assets > select the Name link of the monitored asset > select View State History.
