When a sensor checks-in to OneVue, its battery level is reported. When it's reported battery life is less than 25% remaining, the sensor and its assigned Monitored Asset is set to an Alarm state with a Low Battery status.
Sensor assigned to a Monitored Asset is reporting a low battery level.
Temperature, Temperature and Humidity, and Differential Pressure Sensors: From the start date of this state, the estimated battery life remaining is 30 days. This estimation is based on the use of Lithium 1.5V batteries, 1-hour Logging Interval, 8-hour Check-In Interval, and adequate wireless signal.
Water Leak and Contact Closure Sensors: From the start date of this state, the estimated backup battery life remaining is 7 days. This estimation is based on the use of Lithium 1.5V batteries, 1-hour Logging Interval, 8-hour Check-In Interval, and adequate wireless signal.
All or some of the below symptoms may be present.
Sensor and its assigned Monitored Asset are in an Alarm state with a Low Battery status.
Low Battery alert notification received.
Sensor device yellow LED indicator is flashing and its LCD displays a Low Battery icon.
To stop alert notifications, acknowledge the alert.
Replace the sensor batteries.
Open the sensor cover and remove its batteries.
Insert a 3.0v Primex Lithium/Iron Disulfide Battery Pack or two 1.5v Lithium AA batteries. Follow the symbols showing the correct way to position the positive (+) and negative (-) ends of the battery pack.
Verify the battery switch is set to On (UP position) and replace the sensor cover.
If also operating on AC power, verify the power adapter is plugged in. The green LED is illuminated when powered by AC.
Press and release the check-in button , which will clear its Low Battery status and Alarm state.
Replace the sensor batteries, verify battery power set to on, verify AC power, and initiate a manual check-in.
From OneVue, verify the sensor and its assigned Monitored Asset returned to a Normal state.
If the issue cannot be resolved, replace with a backup sensor or institute manual recording protocols until the issue is resolved.
