The Primex OneVue Differential Pressure Sensor employs a precision sensing element for deriving readings. The sensing element is supplied by Sensirion AG. Every element is individually calibrated and tested by reference equipment which is itself calibrated by an ISO/IEC 17025 approved laboratory. Lot identification is printed on the sensing element, located on the bottom of the housing.
Given a statement of traceability provided by Sensirion defining the methods used for calibration as well as an excerpt from the datasheet below noting an offset stability < 0.1 Pa/year (or 7.5 x 10-4 mmHg/year), Primex recommends a replacement period of every 3 years from the date of first use. Replacement frequency should take into account other factors, including the nature and extent of use, environmental conditions, and other pertinent quality standards and regulations.
The statement of traceability provided by Sensirion defines the methods used for calibration as well as the international standards bodies recognizing the methods used, including the “National Physical Laboratory” (NPL) and the “National Institute of Standards and Technology” (NIST).
