InfoBoard display settings and the general message are managed through Display Groups. All InfoBoards can display the same information, from their character brightness and color, time format, general message, and more. Device type settings are managed from the profile of an InfoBoard. These settings include the Name of the InfoBoard, assigned Display Group, Business Unit and Time Zone, and its Configuration Change Interval, Firmware, and Network settings.
The benefit of Display Groups is to provide a method to easily manage display settings for all InfoBoards or for those InfoBoards located in specific areas. A Display Groups also sets timer features, including when a scheduled countdown begins for each period set in the InfoBoard's assigned Zone, and if a ring tone is emitted at the end of an elapsed timer stop event.
When updating a Display Group's settings, all InfoBoards assigned to the group are updated.
By default, InfoBoards connect to OneVue every 5 minutes (Config Change Interval setting) to download setting updates. When set to every 5 minutes, it can take up to 5 minutes for a message update to be displayed on an InfoBoard.
Display Groups also included timer settings, which are configured when InfoBoards are operating as a Scheduled Countdown Timer or Elapsed Timer.
