Complete the following steps to configure a Notify InfoBoard that will be managed and monitored from OneVue. Be sure to complete the steps in the order as they appear below.
An InfoBoard must be configured before it's installed at its permanent location. If not configured, an InfoBoard will be required to be uninstalled to complete configuration at a later date.
During a new system install, Primex recommends to configure all InfoBoards at a central location with Wi-Fi or mobile connectivity on your mobile device. Once configured, they can be installed at their permanent location.
OneVue Sync Transmitter(s) are configured, installed, and operating.
Mobile device, that is being used to configure InfoBoard with ODC app, has either Wi-Fi or mobile connectivity at configuration location.
Your OneVue user account is assigned to the Account Admin or Network Admin role.
Download the Primex OneVue Device Configurator (ODC) app from the App Store or Google Play™ store. If you already have the app, turn on automatic updates or check for updates prior to configuring a device.
The app guides you through the configuration process.
Apply power to InfoBoard.
Open the OneVue Device Configurator (ODC) app.
Select Connect to OneVue.
Enter your OneVue Username and Password and select Log In.
Select the OneVue account the InfoBoard is to be added to.
The account selection option only appears if your user login is associated with more than one OneVue account.
Set InfoBoard into Bluetooth discoverable mode by pressing and releasing its Bluetooth pairing button.
Button is located in its backside connection panel. It's best to use a paper clip or similar object to press and release the button.
From available devices, select the InfoBoard's 12-character MAC address (printed on label affixed to back panel).
IB403: Indicates Large InfoBoard model
IB402: indicates Medium InfoBoard model
IB401: indicates MiniBoard model
If the InfoBoard is not listed, select the app Refresh icon.
Configure its primary settings.
Optionally, these settings can be updated from OneVue.
Name: unique name of the device. Commonly set to identify its install location.
Time Zone: by default, set to the OneVue Account Time Zone.
(Optional) Advanced settings. These settings can also be configured from OneVue.
Time Source: set to receive time updates from Transmitter (default) or from a NTP server by selecting Manual NTP Configuration (requires Ethernet connection). If set to NTP, the NTP server IP addresses must be configured in OneVue.
Firmware: update firmware version only when directed by Primex Technical Support.
Select Save to complete configuration.
To locate the InfoBoard for maintenance or troubleshooting, label the device with its configured Name or identify its MAC address on a floorplan during installation and then update its Name in OneVue.
Log in to OneVue and verify the InfoBoard has been added to OneVue
Go to Devices > InfoBoards > locate the Name entered during configuration or if a name was not entered locate its 12-character MAC address.
Verify its State, which it must be in either of the below States.
State is blank (gray): added to OneVue but has not connected to network. When it connects to the network, it will check-in to OneVue and be set to a Normal state.
Normal (green): connected to network and checked-in to OneVue (last check-in date/time displayed).
