The OneVue Notify Bell Scheduling solution consists of cloud-based software and Primex Notify Bell Controllers. A Bell Controller communicates with OneVue over your facility's network to send data to and receive setting and bell schedule updates.
We recommend familiarizing yourself with the following features.
OneVue is a cloud-based solution that can be accessed from any web browser on a tablet, smartphone, laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. OneVue log in requirements do not require you to install any software.
Device Preconfiguration automates the configuration of Bell Controllers for use with OneVue before they arrive at your facility, eliminating the need to manually configure devices onsite. After a new order is placed with Primex, Device Preconfiguration is completed online from your OneVue account.
The OneVue Wired Device Configurator (OWDC) Android™ app provides the experience of adding Primex network devices to OneVue. Use of the OWDC app is an alternative method to Device Preconfiguration. Once you download the app from Google Play™ store (it’s free!), you connect a Primex network device to your Android device and the app guides you through adding the device to OneVue.
The OneVue Wired Device Configurator (OWDC) app is an alternative to Device Preconfiguration and selected when placing an order.
The OneVue account structure is designed to be flexible and scalable to support small to larger, more complex organizations. Easily manage who has access to devices, data, and features based on their job responsibilities through Business Units and optionally by Locations.
From the Dashboard monitor the current state of all your Bell Controllers, view the To Do list of alert and system notifications, and User Announcements.
A Bell Controller has two relay and two contact closure inputs. Its relays are wired to an existing PA or school bell system to trigger the school bells. Each relay is assigned to a Bell Schedule that is managed from OneVue. Optionally, the two contact closure inputs can be wired to a switch or button to activate bells manually, commonly referred to as an impromptu bell.
A Bell Schedule defines when bells ring and are made up of default and exception schedules. Default schedules are the bell schedules for the majority of the school year. Exception schedules are the schedules for the days that are to be different from the default schedules.
Each Bell Controller Relay is assigned to a bell schedule.
A Network Profile in OneVue represents a network at your facility and each Primex network device is assigned to a network. Network settings are downloaded to each Primex device, allowing devices to connect to your facility's network to transmit data to and download settings from OneVue. For OneVue devices that receive time from an NTP time source, its assigned network also allows its connection to an NTP Server.
A Gateway is the internal component of a Primex network device that connects to your facility's network to send data to and download settings from OneVue.
Reports are generated by Report Profiles and reports can be viewed and downloaded at anytime.
A Report Profile is configured to be specific to your reporting requirements, including the type of report, the Bell Controller included in the report, how frequently a new report is generated, and who new report notifications are sent to.
