Staff receives alert notifications either by email, text, or voice messages, which is determined by their alert preferences set from their OneVue user profile. The information included in each alert notification method does vary. Although, all methods include the Monitored Asset Name, its assigned Business Unit, and the condition resulting in the alert. In addition, information varies based on when the alert is generated, including when a Monitored Asset first enters an Alarm state and reminder, escalation, and return to normal notifications.
An alarm alert is generated when a Monitored Asset enters an Alarm state.
Note
For email alerts only, an Alert Rule can be configured to include additional text. The text commonly includes processes or specific actions that staff is required to take or reference during an alerting condition.
Example: This is a notification from your OneVue monitoring solution. Refrigerator/Freezer#1 NEW ALARM, the Temperature is Out of Range-Past Alarm Delay in Blood Bank at 1st Floor. Current Reading is 40 degrees Fahrenheit on 12/21/2021 at 3:06AM. Expected Range is 30 degrees to 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Press 1 to continue reminders or press 2 to pause reminders.
Note
If you press 1, you will see Acknowledged in Event History and reminder calls continue based on the Alert Interval setting. This setting is found under Advanced Options under the Alert Rule Profile.
If you press 2, we add Acknowledged in Event History and then pause reminders for the time setting “Resume Alerts after” under Advanced Options under the Alert Rule. If the asset remains in alarm, the reminder calls would then resume and continue until additional action is taken.
If alerts are not acknowledged by pressing 1 or 2, reminders will continue based on the Alert Interval Setting under Advanced Options in the Alert Rule. No comments will be entered the Event History.
A reminder alert is generated when a Monitored Asset remains in an Alarm state and the alert has not been acknowledged.

A return to normal alert is generated when a Monitored Asset has returned to a Normal state. This is an optional notification that can be enabled or disabled from an Alert Rule.
"The temperature on refrigerator E86 in business unit Green Arrow Health Care has returned to a Normal state".
Available as a feature of the Primex preferred OneVue Plan, custom notifications offer the flexibility for account administrators to customize the information you would like to receive outside of the default notifications provided by OneVue. For example, if including the Business Unit makes your phone notification annoyingly long, you can remove it! If you don’t find including the range in your text messages useful, uncheck that box to remove it.
