If you're just learning about the OneVue Device Configurator (ODC) app or simply need a few more details to get started, this topic provides an overview of what it is and how it works.
The ODC app configures OneVue Sync Transmitters and Notify InfoBoards locally at the device. When installing or adding a new Transmitter or InfoBoard, they must be configured with the ODC app to allow them to operate onsite.
During configuration, a device's primary settings are configured and stored locally in the device.
When configured for use with OneVue Notify Monitor, a device is added to OneVue to allow remote monitoring and management.
When configured for use with a OneVue Notify standalone solution, the app is used to configure and update device settings.
The ODC app is different than the Primex OneVue Wired Device Configurator (OWDC) app, which is used to configure OneVue sensors, bridges, bell controllers, and PoE digital clocks.
During configuration, the ODC app and a Sync Transmitter or Notify InfoBoard communicate over a Bluetooth pairing connection. Primex OneVue Transmitters and Notify InfoBoards are equipped with a wireless Bluetooth radio component that is activated locally at the device to allow its pairing with the ODC app. During this connection, settings are downloaded to the Primex device.
The app is free and is available for both Apple iOS and Android mobile devices. Download the app from the App Store or Google Play™ store. Search for Primex OneVue Device Configurator.
Once you download the app, the app guides you through the entire process. A device is configured through the Bluetooth pairing connection between your mobile device and the Primex device. It's an easy process that provides onsite configuration.
