OneVue Sync Power over Ethernet (PoE) Digital Clocks and Timers receive both power and data from a PoE enabled network. Optionally, clocks and timers can operate over a wired Ethernet network when power is supplied by a Primex AC power adapter (may vary by model).
Before installing a Sync PoE device, verify the following requirements are met.
PoE enabled RJ45 jack or PoE switch: Located within 300 ft. (91.4 m) from device install location. A PoE injector can be used when an RJ45 port or PoE switch is not available or to perform troubleshooting.
Ethernet cable: CAT 5 or higher.
AC power/wired Ethernet network use: A Primex AC power adapter can be used to supply power to allow connection to a wired Ethernet network or when power is not supplied by an RJ45 enabled port or PoE switch.
Non-DHCP network use: If a device was assigned to a static IPv4 address (Non-DHCP) network during device preconfiguration, the OneVue Account ID and network settings are configured by Primex prior to shipment. If device preconfiguration was not completed, Non-DHCP network settings for Digital/Clocks Timers can be configured with the OWDC app.
