The OneVue Sense Environmental Monitoring solution takes monitoring to the cloud to streamline and improve your entire monitoring process. There are a number of basic concepts that are essential for understanding the features. We have made our solution as easy as possible - from setting up your account, configuring and installing your Primex devices, to getting your first monitoring results.
From OneVue, you can easily monitor your Monitored Assets, view historical reading and event history, document corrective actions taken to resolve a Monitored Asset's alarm condition, and manage the settings of your Monitored Assets.
We recommend familiarizing yourself with the following features.
OneVue is a cloud-based solution that can be accessed from any web browser on a tablet, smartphone, laptop or desktop computer with an internet connection. The system requirements do not require you to install any software.
Device Preconfiguration automates the configuration of Primex network devices for use with your OneVue account before they arrive at your facility - eliminating the need to manually configure devices onsite. Device Preconfiguration is completed online from your OneVue account.
The OneVue Wired Device Configurator (OWDC) Android™ app provides the experience of adding Primex network devices to OneVue. Use of the OWDC app is an alternative method to Device Preconfiguration. Once you download the app from Google Play™ store (it’s free!), you connect a Primex network device to your Android device and the app guides you through adding the device to OneVue.
The OneVue Wired Device Configurator (OWDC) app is an alternative to Device Preconfiguration and selected when placing an order.
The OneVue account structure is designed to be flexible and scalable to support small to larger, more complex organizations. Easily manage who has access to Monitored Assets, data, and features based on their job responsibilities through Business Units and optionally by Locations.
From the Dashboard view the current state of all your Monitored Assets, a To Do list of alert, report and order notifications, and active user announcements.
A Monitored Asset may be a physical device, the contents of a physical device, or an environmental condition of an area.
Monitored Assets are assigned to sensors and OneVue intelligently links the sensor reading data to its assigned Monitored Asset. This structure allows a sensor to be moved from one asset to another. Therefore, all reading data is unique to the asset, regardless of the current sensor or previous sensors assigned to the asset.
Each Primex sensor is assigned to a Monitored Asset and its readings or monitored conditions generate the current and historical readings for the asset. In addition, sensor operating condition data is linked to its assigned Monitored Asset. When a sensor enters a Warning or Alarm state, its assigned Monitored Asset is also set to an Alarm or Warning state.
Be sure to download the Sense Alert Workflow guide that provides an overview of how it all works. If you want to learn more about alert workflow, see How to incorporate OneVue alerting into your workflow - which provides examples with workflow and alert frequency illustrations.
A Network Profile in OneVue represents a network at your facility and each Primex network device is assigned to a network. Network settings are downloaded to each Primex device, allowing devices to connect to your facility's network to transmit data to and download settings from OneVue. For OneVue devices that receive time from an NTP time source, its assigned network also allows its connection to an NTP Server.
A Gateway is the internal component of a Primex network device that connects to your facility's network to send data to and download settings from OneVue.
Reports are generated by Report Profiles. A Report Profile can be configured to be specific to your reporting requirements, including the type of Report, the Monitored Assets included in the Report, and how frequent the Report is generated, and users that receive a notification when a new Report is generated. At anytime, reports can be viewed and downloaded from OneVue.
