Complete this procedure when you need to assign a sensor to a Monitored Asset.
A Monitored Asset is what a sensor is monitoring and each asset is required to be assigned to a sensor. OneVue links the sensor readings and operating condition data to its assigned Monitored Asset, which generates the asset's reading and state history.
Before you begin, be sure the Monitored Asset is available in OneVue. If you need to create a new Monitored Asset, see Create a Monitored Asset.
Go to Devices > Sensors. A list of sensors is displayed and the Monitored Asset column indicates if an asset is assigned to the sensor.
Select the Sensor Type link of the sensor to be assigned to the Monitored Asset. Its profile is displayed.
From the Monitored Asset drop-down list, select the Monitored Asset.
Select Save. All subsequent reading and device operating data is linked to the sensor's assigned Monitored Asset.

Once a sensor is assigned to a Monitored Asset, it's critical to verify the sensor settings meet the conditions of the asset being monitored.
From the sensor profile, verify the Normal Condition (range) and Alarm Delay settings.
From the sensor gateway profile, verify the Logging Interval, Check-In Interval, Audio Alert, and Unresponsive Timeout settings.
