If you have one or a few locks that are not showing the correct time, the first step is to reset a clock. Do not reset a clock if a Transmitter is in an error state.
Symptoms
For any of the below symptoms, you will want to perform the steps detailed in this article to resolve the issue.
-
The colon between the clock's hour and the minute is flashing.
This indicates the clock is not receiving a signal from the Transmitter.
-
Clock displays 13:13 and is not updating to the correct time (for second generation clocks only - Levo Series).
This indicates the clock is not receiving a signal from a Transmitter. 13:13 represents the number of digits and the clock's firmware version.
-
Clock only displays dashes and time is not displayed (for first generation clocks only - Primex ClassicSeries)
This indicates the clock is not receiving a signal from the Transmitter.
When a clock is reset, it will turn on its receiver and searches for a signal from a Transmitter to receive a time update.
-
Verify the Transmitter is currently broadcasting or reset the clock between 40 minutes after the current hour and 5 minutes after the next hour. For example, reset the clock between 9:40 AM to 10:05 AM.
How to verify a Transmitter is currently broadcasting from its front panel display
14000 Transmitter: when SB is not displayed, it's broadcasting.
XR Transmitter: green LED is solid green.
OneVue Transmitter: Transmit LED is solid green.
For Transmitter with an external antenna and it's not in an error state: power the down the Transmitter, wait 30 seconds, and power back on. A power-cycle forces the Transmitter to broadcast for eight consecutive hours. This will also be helpful if you have multiple clocks to reset.

Locate the clock's setting panel, which houses its Reset button. The setting panel location varies by model.
Levo Series model (second generation): from its backside remove the small rectangular access panel and press and release its Reset button.
ClassicSeries model (first generation): from its front side, remove the small rectangular access panel located in the upper center (a small screwdriver can be used to gently pry the center top edge of the panel forward) and press and release its Reset button.
When the clock receives a signal from a Transmitter, it will automatically reset its time.
