OneVue activates an alert when a Bell Controller enters an Alarm state and sends alert notifications to staff. Commonly, staff will acknowledge an alert to temporarily stop notifications and indicate action is being taken to resolve the alarm condition. Acknowledging an alert does not change the state of the Bell Controller or end the active alert. When a Bell Controller returns to a Normal state, the active alert will end.
From OneVue, go to the Dashboard.
-
Your To Do list displays active alerts that have not been acknowledged.
-
Low Battery
Bell Controller battery power is for backup-power use only. An alert is activated if a bell controller is operating on battery backup power only and a low battery level is transmitted during its last check-in. When operating solely on battery backup, its estimated battery life is up to a maximum of 24 hours. The device's batteries should be replaced during this alerting condition to avoid a loss of data.
-
Unresponsive
Alert is activated when a Bell Controller has not checked-in to OneVue for more than 3 hours. A bell controller is scheduled to check-in hourly.
-
Time Sync Failure
Alert is activated when the Bell Controller fails to receive time from its NTP time source during its last check-in. The bell controller may not have the correct time, which can impact the accuracy of its bell schedules.
-
When an alert is acknowledged the alert notifications resume once the time period of the Resume Alert After setting in the Alert Rule has been reached. As an example, if an alert is acknowledged at 1:00 PM and the Resume Alert After setting is set to 1 hour, an alert notification is sent again at 2:00 PM.
-
Go to the Dashboard > from the To Do list, select the active alert link.
-
From the alert section, enter a comment.
It's recommended to describe action taken or information relating to the cause of the alert. This information is viewable by other users that may also have received an alert notification.
-
Select Acknowledge.
The alert is acknowledged and resumes once the time period of the resume alert after setting has been reached.
A voice alert is sent in the form of an automated message detailing the alerting condition. From the automated message, you can acknowledge the alert. OneVue voice alert notifications are sent from phone number (608) 709-7043 and caller ID of Primex OneVue.
To acknowledge an alert, press 1 or 2 from your touch-tone phone. Pressing 3 or ending the call before selecting an option, does not acknowledge the alert.
Once an alert is acknowledged, alert notifications resume once the time period set in Alert Rule's resume alert after setting has been reached.
When the condition returns to a Normal state, the alert ends and is removed from your Dashboard To Do list.
