The reading history of a sensor is its transmitted reading data over a specified period of time. From the reading history view, you can view the historical reading data of a sensor in both a graphical and list view.
Important
Primex recommends to view readings from the Monitored Asset profile assigned to the sensor.
The current reading and reading history of a sensor is the readings of its assigned Monitored Asset and if applicable any Monitored Assets assigned to the sensor at a point in time. For example, if a sensor was reassigned to another Monitored Asset, its reading history includes the current and previous readings of its current and previously assigned Monitored Asset.
Go to Devices > Sensors.
From the list, select the Sensor Type link of the sensor.
From Reading History, select the View link.
-
Set the date range to include.
Backward 1 week: sets the start date back seven days.
Start date: select the start date of the date range to display.
End date: select the end date of the date range to display.
Forward 1 week: when selected, sets the start date forward seven days.
Displays the system calculated reading data for the date range specified.
Mean: the average mean value of the readings of the date range specified; the calculated value of the sum of all readings divided by the total sample points.
-
MKT (Mean Kinetic Temperature - temperature sensor only): a calculated single temperature that simulates the effects of temperature variations over a period of time. The calculation of MKT gives the higher temperatures a greater weight when computing the average than would a simple numerical average or arithmetic mean. This weighting is determined by a geometric transformation — the natural logarithm of the absolute temperature.
Limit MKT to last 24 hours of data?: select the option to limit the calculation of the MKT for only the last 24 hours of logged readings, which reflects FDA recommendations to use a 24-hour calculation. The last 24 hours is based on the selected End Date. If this option is not selected, the MKT is calculated using all logged readings for the selected Start and End Date range.

The list view displays each reading for the date range specified.

Definition |
---|---|
Reading Value |
The value of the sensor reading. |
Range |
Minimum and maximum range/Normal Condition set within the sensor profile. This is commonly the expected, normal operating range of the Monitored Asset. A reading that falls below or above this range results in an Out of Range status. |
Reading Date/Time |
Date and time the last reading was taken. |
State |
The state of the sensor at the reading date/time. |
Status |
The status of the sensor at the reading date/time. |
Gateway ID |
Unique MAC address of the sensor device. Selecting the link opens the sensor's gateway profile, which includes additional sensor settings. |
Monitored Asset |
The Monitored Asset assigned to the sensor. Selecting the link opens the Monitored Asset profile. |
