The Wireless Tone Generator receives its precise time signal from the Transmitter, then sends the schedule to the PA and/or bell system.
While using the timed broadcast schedule of a Transmitter with an external antenna, the Wireless Tone Generator updates between 39 and 6 minutes past the hour. The green LED on the Wireless Tone Generator flashes during this time indicating that it is receiving a signal.
If installing a Wireless Tone Generator after the Transmitter initial 8 hour transmission, there are two options
Install the Wireless Tone Generator between 39 minutes past the hour and 6 minutes after the next hour. It will update its time right away and begin updating its schedule information.
Cycle power to the Transmitter. It will then transmit for 8 hours and the Wireless Tone Generator will update both its time and schedule information immediately on power up.
If the Wireless Tone Generator loses power when the Transmitter is not broadcasting, the LED will go solid until 39 minutes after the hour. At that time, the LED will begin flashing and the time and event schedule information will be updated.
When a new event schedule is downloaded to a Transmitter, it will broadcast continuously for 30 minutes to update the time and schedule information in the Wireless Tone Generator.

Menu Display |
Sets the unit settings. |
RX Signal Indicator |
Green LED will flash each time a transmitted signal is received by this Wireless Tone Generator from the Transmitter. It will flash once a second if it is receiving a good signal. |
Event LED |
LED is on when the Wireless Tone Generator has the correct info in its EEPROM relating to the data being sent to the unit from the Transmitter on the selected ID. NoteNOTE: unit may still function without this LED being on, but the entire schedule on the ID has not been received and/or verified as of yet. |
9 VDC Power |
Connect the 9 volt linear power supply to Wireless Tone Generator (6 ft. cord on power supply) |
Volume Dial |
Controls the volume of the tone.
The Wireless Tone Generator volume control is factory preset at 25%. NoteNOTE: It is recommended that if the tone is not loud enough, the volume control first be adjusted on the external system. |
Audio Output Jack |
Connects via an audio patch cable to the audio input jack on the PA and/or bell system to transmit the tone signal. |
Relay Output Terminals (lower access cover) |
Located in the smaller access cover; located on the lower bottom of the unit. The two relay output terminals, one normally open and the other normally closed, provide a relay output connection to a PA and/or bell system. |
Dip Switch Panel (unit cover) |
Remove the cover of the unit to access the internal electronics and to set the Dip Switch Options. The Dip Switch Panel is used to set the time and the Switch Defined Closure. NoteNOTE: Except when setting the Dip Switch options, the unit cover should remain closed and secure at all times. |
