The Dashboard provides a snapshot of the current state of all Monitored Assets and a To Do list of alert, report, and order notifications. An active user announcement may also be displayed, which commonly provides details of a OneVue update or other important information.
The Dashboard data automatically refreshes every five minutes. Optionally, you can manually refresh the data by selecting the browser refresh function.
The account state circle displays a state summary of all Monitored Assets. The data displayed includes the number of assets by each state and the circle colors represent the assets in a specific state. If all assets are in a Normal state, All Normal is displayed.
From the circle view, you can select the state text or color to filter the list view by your selection. For example, if you have five Monitored Assets in an Alarm state, when you select 5 Alarm from the circle view OneVue filters the list view to only include those five Monitored Assets in an Alarm state.
Note
Monitored Assets in an Unmonitored state are not included on the Dashboard and are only are listed in the Monitored Assets list view (go to Monitoring > Monitored Assets). The Unmonitored state indicates the Monitored Asset is not assigned to a sensor.
By default, the list view displays Monitored Asset in an Alarm, Warning, or Suspended state.
From the list view, you can select the Name link to view the Monitored Asset's profile. From its profile you can:
Acknowledge an alert. Although, the best practice is to select the alert from the To Do list.
View its Reading History.
View its Event History. Data includes alert notifications, state-changes and comments, alert acknowledgements, and logged alert resolutions.
View the settings of its assigned sensor.
Tip
From the list view gear icon, you can select a custom view, create a custom view to display specific information. Or select Save as CSV to download the current data displayed.
The state of a Monitored Asset represents its current operating condition monitored by OneVue. OneVue continuously monitors readings and sensor devices, which allows staff to know when an asset or its assigned sensor requires attention. The status of a Monitored Asset identifies what caused the asset to enter either a Warning or an Alarm state.
The following provides what each state means.
Normal - last reading in range, sensor operating as expected
Warning - last reading out of range, but time period has not exceeded Alarm Delay
Alarm - last reading out of range and exceeded its Alarm Delay or sensor is not operating as expected
Suspended - manually set by a user and alerts are not generated
Decommissioned - manually set by a user and Monitored Asset is not monitored
Unmonitored Monitored Asset is not assigned to a sensor
-
Current condition
Last transmitted sensor reading is within its Normal Condition and the sensor device is operating as expected.
-
Status resulting in State
Status is blank during this state.
Return to Normal status: indicates its prior state was either a Warning or Alarm State and has since returned to normal.
Differential Pressure Door Switch monitoring only: an Open status indicates the Differential Pressure Door Switch is in an Open status. When in an Open status for longer than the time period set in its Door Delay Alarm setting, the Monitored Asset is set to an Alarms Disabled state.
-
Current condition
Last transmitted reading is not within its Normal Condition, but the amount of time the reading has been out of range has not exceeded the time period set in the sensor's Alarm Delay setting.
When in a Warning state, OneVue:
does not activate an alert
continues to log, store, and monitor the sensor readings and sensor device operating conditions
-
Status resulting in State
Out of Range
The last reading was either below or above its Normal Condition (temperature, temperature and humidity, or differential pressure sensor) or the last reading was not its Normal Condition (water leak and contact closure sensor).
-
Current condition
A condition requires immediate attention. The condition resulting in the Alarm state is indicated by its Status.
When in an Alarm state OneVue:
activates an alert for the alarm condition and sends alert notifications. The Monitored Asset and the staff required to receive alert notifications must be included in an Alert Rule.
continues to log, store, and monitor sensor readings and sensor device operating conditions
-
Status resulting in State
Enters an Alarm state due to any of the statuses below:
-
Out of Range, Past Alarm Delay (reading alarm)
The amount of time the last reading/condition has been out of range (not within its Normal Condition), has exceeded the time period set in its Alarm Delay.
The last reading was either below or above its Normal Condition (temperature, temperature and humidity, or differential pressure sensor) or the last reading was not its Normal Condition (water leak and contact closure sensor).
If the Alarm Delay setting is set to 0 (zero), the Monitored Asset is immediately set to an Alarm state with the status of Out of Range, Past Alarm Delay.
-
Unresponsive (no network)
Indicates the sensor device has not checked-in to OneVue for more than the time period set in the sensor's gateway Unresponsive Timeout setting.
The Unresponsive status is due to a network connectivity issue that has prevented the Primex device from checking-in to OneVue or the device has no power.
-
No Probe (applies to Temperature Sensor & Water Leak Sensor)
When a Probe has been removed from a Temperature Sensor or a Water Detector is removed from a Water Leak Sensor, a no probe status is automatically sent to OneVue.
For a temperature sensor, indicates a temperature probe has either been removed from the sensor's probe input jack or the probe is malfunctioning.
For a water leak sensor, Indicates the water detector has either been removed from the sensor's input jack or the detector is malfunctioning.
-
Low Battery
Indicates the sensor device has reported a low battery level.
It's recommended to replace the device batteries to avoid a loss of power.
-
-
Current condition
A OneVue user manually changed the Monitored Asset to a Suspended state.
For use during a temporary condition, such as when a Monitored Asset is being repaired or replaced and you do not want staff to receive alerts during this time period.
The Monitored Asset is required to be set to a Normal state by a system user to resume alerting.
When set to a Suspended state, OneVue:
acknowledges and ends any active alerts
does not generate alerts for the asset
does not monitor the readings or sensor device operating conditions
continues to log and store readings and sensor device operating conditions - continues to show status changes only
-
Status resulting in State
A manual State Change was made by a OneVue user.
Note
Displays status changes only and not monitored during this state.
Status changes are for information purposes only.
-
Current condition
A OneVue user sets a Monitored Asset to the Decommissioned state.
The Decommissioned state is designed to permanently disable a Monitored Asset from your account, such as when an asset has been taken out of service. All of the Monitored Asset's data generated prior to being Decommissioned is retained in previously generated reports.
When set to Decommissioned state, OneVue:
detaches the Monitored Asset from its assigned sensor(s)
acknowledges and ends any active alerts
retains all historical reading data that was stored in the system prior to the Monitored Asset being set to a Decommissioned state
allows the Monitored Asset to be permanently deleted from your OneVue account. If the sensor assigned to the Monitored Asset also needs to be deleted from OneVue, you must contact Primex Technical Support and request to have the sensor removed from your OneVue account.
-
Status resulting in State
Not applicable. State manually changed by a OneVue user.
-
Current condition
A sensor is not assigned to the Monitored Asset. Therefore, no reading or sensor device operating data is associated to the Monitored Asset. This state is set by OneVue and cannot be set by a user.
When in an Unmonitored state, OneVue:
does not monitor the Monitored Asset or generate alerts
-
Status resulting in State
Not applicable, set by OneVue when a sensor is not assigned to the Monitored Asset.
The Dashboard To Do list displays alerts that have not been acknowledged and system notifications. To ensure you know when a condition or task needs your attention, there are several types of notifications.
Note
The To List items listed are determined by the Role(s) and Business Unit(s) assigned to your User Profile. As an example, you only see and receive alert notifications for the Monitored Assets of the Business Unit(s) your User Profile is assigned to. Commonly, you are only assigned to the Business Unit that includes the Monitored Assets you are responsible for.
To view the details of a To Do list notification, select the To Do link.
The following sections detail the types of alerts and notifications that appear on your To Do list.
Example: Room #1 is Out Of Range, Past Alarm Delay
An alert notification is generated when a Monitored Asset is in an Alarm state. The To Do item lists the name of the Monitored Asset and the current Status resulting in the Alarm state.
Select the link to view the Monitored Asset profile.
You can acknowledge the alert if you are responding to the condition.
-
When an alert is acknowledged, it's removed from the Dashboard To Do list.
Alert notifications resume at the time interval set in the Alert Rule's Resume Alerts After setting.
As an example, if a user acknowledged an alert at 1:00 PM and the Resume Alerts After setting is set to 1 hour, the system resumes generating alert notifications at 2:00 PM. If an alert is not acknowledge, OneVue continues to generate alert notifications based on the frequency set in the Alert Rule's Alert Interval setting.
If the alerting condition(s) returns to a Normal state, the alert ends and is removed from the Dashboard To Do list. If enabled from the Alert Rule, OneVue will also generate a return to normal notification.
Example: Refrigerator 1B is still in a suspended state.
The Monitored Asset is currently in a Suspended state and the time period set in the Reminder Task has been reached.
The time period was set when a system user changed the state of the Monitored Asset to Suspended.
The task remains on the To Do List during the time period the Monitored Asset is in a Suspended state.
When in a Suspended state, a Monitored Asset is required to be set back to a Normal state (change the state of a Monitored Asset) to resume alerting.
Example: New Daily Pharmacy Report is available.
Report has been generated and is ready to be viewed or downloaded. Select the link to view or download the Report.
Example: Temperature Sensor is not assigned to a Monitored Asset.
A sensor is not assigned to a Monitored Asset. Select the link to open the sensor profile and assign a Monitored Asset.
Example: Order #33 needs to be configured.
Device Preconfiguration has not been completed for an order. If Device Preconfiguration must be completed before the order is shipped from Primex. Select the link to complete the online preconfiguration procedure.
User Announcements highlight important messages on your Dashboard, providing an online communication method to share information with your OneVue users. As an example, Primex may create an announcement to communicate a system wide update will be released on a specific date.
To remove an active announcement from your Dashboard, select the X located in the upper-right corner of the announcement.
