By default, a Bell Controller's time source is set to the NTP Servers configured in your OneVue account settings. If required, you can set a bell controller to different NTP Servers.
During each check-in, a bell controller connects to its assigned NTP Server (time source) and then synchronizes the received UTC time to the time zone set in your OneVue account time synchronization settings. To view your account settings, go to the Admin menu > select Edit "your account name" > and view the Time Synchronization settings.
How to configure a bell controller to use different NTP Servers
Go to Devices > Bell Controller Relays.
-
From the list, select the Gateway ID link of the Bell Controller. Its gateway profile is displayed.
Select Show Advanced Options.
-
From the NTP Servers (1-3), enter the domain name for each NTP server.
-
Select Save.
The Update Pending status is set to Yes when a setting change is scheduled to be downloaded to the device during its next check-in to OneVue. Setting changes take effect when downloaded to the device. Once downloaded, its Updating Pending status is set to No.
